Course Description 

In this stand-alone session, Dr. Wisniewski will review the fundamentals of anatomy and physiology of the hepatic system that have clinical implications. Emphasis will be placed on the endogenous mechanisms of detoxification, enzymes, and pathways. Furthermore, we will discuss how to appropriate diagnose pitfalls in this process and implementation of safe and effect treatments.

• Be able to identify those patients that have toxic burden 

• Learn how to offer well-rounded therapies
