Course Description 

In this stand-alone session, Dr Kleber will review common kidney disorders seen in a primary care chiropractic office. Pathophysiology of common renal disease will be discussed along with treatment options and, when appropriate, referral. Documentation of the process will be discussed so that the doctor can best treat the patient and communication with other professionals can be seamless. 

Learning Objectives 

• Help the audience recognize and treat common urinary tract conditions and help them to properly document both the diagnosis and treatment plans 

• Teach the doctor when referral is necessary and how to document such referral 

• Review urinalysis and emphasize the importance of urinalysis in the office of every practitioner regardless of the type of practice they run
