Dr. Bill Updyke has been a practicing chiropractor for 35 years. He graduated from Cleveland Chiropractic College in Los Angeles in 1985 and had a private practice in the Los Angeles area for 10 years. In 1996, after moving to Northern California, he began working at Palmer College of Chiropractic West and continued there as a Clinical Professor until October of 2008 when he started at the opening of the Cisco LifeConnections Health Center. He has had multiple leadership roles at the LifeConnections clinic that is currently managed by Stanford Healthcare. At LifeConnections he managed the medical group, has lead the physical medicine team and advanced integration by initiating same day, multiple provider visits for patients who may require a higher level of care to resolve complicated problems and prevent expensive interventions and surgeries. He is a past president of the California Chiropractic Association and has published over 30 articles in professional and research journals. He has been an invited presenter at many professional forums, research and health policy conferences, continuing education programs as well as at national and regional business conferences on how worksite clinic medical practices integrate non-medical providers and medical providers into their practices. He also volunteers as an advisor for the Worksite Health Clinics Initiative for the Foundation For Chiropractic Progress and currently serves as the Chair of the CalChiroPolitical Action Committee.
