Dr. Milica McDowell started Clearwater Physical Therapy in 2003. She continues to treat a clinical caseload of complex orthopedic injuries in patients of all ages and ability levels. She has worked with athletes from high school kids to the weekend warrior to pros from the NFL, NHL, MLB, XGames, rodeo, triathlon, and performing arts. She uses IASTM, cupping, RockTape kinesiology taping, musculoskeletal ultrasound, manual therapy techniques and various types of exercise to treat her patients. She has a background in team sports, yoga, Pilates, CrossFit, clinical bike fitting and rehab for ultra-endurance athletes.
Dr. McDowell has been at a faculty at Montana State University in the Health and Human Performance program since 2008, additionally she is the Director of Business Development for RockTape and is the co-owner of Epic Fitness Center and Bluebird Medical Supply. Dr. McDowell has two bachelor’s degrees from Montana State University, a master’s degree from University of Colorado and Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Idaho State University. She has lectured both nationally and internationally, is a published author and has a United States Patent. In her free time, she enjoys triathlon, alpine and skate skiing and exploring Montana’s outdoors with her husband, family and poodle-mix dogs.
