In this stand-alone session, the student will learn about common diagnostics used with both traditional and non-traditional practitioners. We will also explore advanced traditional testing. We will also explore accurate and non-traditional testing that leads to alternative and adjunctive treatments. Genetic testing such as BRCA 1 and BRCA 2 will be discussed. Imaging tests such as 3 T MRI will be presented. Circulating tumor cells and RGCC testing will be discussed as well as Galleri test.
Learning Objectives
- Identify commonly used diagnostic tools in both traditional and integrative cancer care, including genetic and imaging modalities.
- Evaluate emerging technologies such as circulating tumor cell testing (RGCC) and Galleri testing for their clinical relevance in early detection and adjunctive treatment planning.
- Discuss the role of advanced diagnostics in cancer prevention, patient education, and long-term monitoring within a collaborative healthcare framework.
