Field-Ready Care: Extremity Assessment & Basic Rehabilitation Essentials for Community-Based Sports Chiropractors

This session is designed for chiropractors working with athletic and active populations at community or public events. The first half of the course will focus on evaluation and management of two key extremity region shoulders and hip—offering clinical insight into biomechanics, functional screening, and field-appropriate techniques. The second half will provide essential rehabilitation strategies for non-surgical musculoskeletal injuries, emphasizing early movement, proprioception, and neuromuscular activation. Attendees will leave with a field-ready skillset to support injury prevention and recovery in real-time scenarios while maintaining high standards of clinical care and documentation.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  1. Perform functional movement screening and orthopedic assessment clusters for shoulder and hip dysfunction in athletic and field-based settings.
  2. Apply biomechanical principles to techniques aimed at improving mobility in the shoulder and hip joints.
  3. Demonstrate foundational rehabilitation protocols that support safe recovery, proprioceptive reactivation, and early return-to-play outcomes.
