    Keith Ligori JD

    Keith was born and raised in Tampa, Florida, and attended Jesuit High School where he graduated in 1988. Keith then attended Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa where he played NCAA Division III football. While in college, Keith held several leadership positions, such as Vice-President of his sophomore class, President of his junior class, and chairman and founder of Loras College’s Community Service Day. He also worked during his Junior year as an assistant to the Public Relations Director of the Dubuque Fighting Saints (Junior A Hockey team) and in his Senior year, he was hired as the Director of Marketing and Public Relations for the Saints. During the summer of his junior year, he was hired as the Assistant to the Public Relations Director for the Tampa Bay Storm of the Arena Football League. Upon his graduation in 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sports Administration, he returned to Tampa where he worked as the Public Relations Director for the Tampa Bay Storm of the Arena Football League.

    After working for approximately five years and obtaining valuable work experience Keith enrolled at Nova Southeastern University Law School where he received his Juris Doctorate degree in 2000. While in law school he worked as a Law Clerk for the Insurance Defense firm of Hinshaw and Colbertson and as a Certified Legal Intern for the Broward County State Attorney’s Office where he tried numerous jury trials and non-jury trials. While in Law School, Keith was voted by his law school professors as the Best Trial Advocate for his graduating class and a member of the prestigious Order of Barristers.

    Upon Keith’s graduation from Law School, he worked as an Assistant Public Defender in Ocala, Florida where he tried numerous cases. He then moved to the opposite side of the courtroom and worked for the Hillsborough County State Attorney in Tampa, Florida. As an Assistant State Attorney, Keith handled thousands of felony and misdemeanor cases and major crimes. He obtained valuable litigation experience, knowledge, and training during his years of working as a prosecutor and public defender. He is also licensed to practice in the United States Federal District Court in the Middle District of Florida.

    Keith opened his own law firm in July of 2003 where his team of lawyers and staff strives to help people and change lives for the positive. His goal is to offer every client the best legal representation with the best customer service. He understands no one wants to be injured especially due to another’s negligence that is why Keith and his staff are committed to doing everything they can in their power to assist their clients with a full recovery. Keith has been the managing partner since 2003 and is assisted by several great lawyers, paralegals, and staff.

DeSantis in less than six weeks after its initial filing, House Bill 837 also fundamentally upends healthcare providers’ treatment of personal injury patients. DC’s must learn how to pivot to obtain the recovery you deserve, and in assisting patients in their recovery from the insurance company as well. This panel of four attorneys will explain the 2023 law in terms you will understand, all while teaching you how to navigate your PI patients in this new era.

  • Chad Barr

    Chad Barr JD

    Chad Barr has dedicated his entire legal career to protecting his clients and their rights against powerful insurance companies. Chad received his Juris Doctorate from Florida A & M College of Law and has been licensed to practice law since 2008. Chad is a proud alumnus of the 2017 National Champions University of Central Florida. Chad grew up in the great states of Maine and Florida. Chad started Chad Barr Law in 2014 and the firm’s practice areas include bodily injury claims, personal injury claims, general negligence claims, personal injury protection (PIP) claims, windshield claims, homeowner’s claims, life insurance claims, and all other forms of insurance denials and coverage disputes. Prior to starting the firm, Chad was the lead associate in a mid-size insurance litigation firm. In over a decade of practice, Chad has litigated over ten-thousand insurance claims recovering millions of dollars for his clients.

    In addition to insurance litigation, Chad handles appeals across Florida in both state and federal court. Chad has handled appeals in every District Court of Appeal in Florida as well as the Florida Supreme Court. Mr. Barr’s 2019 unanimous decision from the Florida Supreme Court reinforced that insurance companies were unlawfully applying deductibles to PIP claims. Chad is happily married with three children and two dogs (Duke and Knightro). He is active in the local community and supports local youth athletic organizations, the Autism Society of Greater Orlando, and the Edgewood Children’s Ranch. In every case he handles, Chad brings the skill and confidence necessary to ensure that his clients and their rights are protected.

  • Coretta Anthony-Smith

    Coretta Anthony-Smith Esq.

    Coretta Anthony-Smith is a native Floridian, born and raised in Naples, Florida.  After graduating from high school, Coretta attended Georgetown University where she earned her B.S. in Marketing.  Thereafter, she worked in the insurance industry learning the ins-and-outs of the insurance industry and the inner workings of insurance companies.  In 1996, Coretta began law school at the University of Florida, Levin College of Law, where she graduated in 1999.  After graduating from law school, Coretta worked for two prominent insurance defense firms representing several major insurance carriers.  In 2004, Coretta stopped representing insurance companies and changed her focus to representing consumers and individuals in claims against insurance companies.

    Coretta is also licensed to practice law in all counties in the State of Florida, as well as the Federal Courts for the Northern, Southern and Middle Districts of Florida.  She also serves on the Florida Bar’s Florida Rules of Civil Procedure Committee and previously served on the Florida Bar’s Small Claims Rules Committee (2010-2017).  Coretta was also a contributing editor on the Tenth and Eleventh Editions of The Florida Bar’s, Florida Automobile Insurance Law, No-Fault Insurance (2018 and 2019).

    Coretta also believes in giving back to the community and works on many charitable events.  She is currently a board member of Saving Our Sons, an organization dedicated to strengthening male leadership in underprivileged areas.  She has also received several awards for her community service and generous sponsorship donations.

  • Kim Driggers

    Kim Driggers JD

    Kimberly A. Driggers is the owner of Driggers Law, PA, where she represents the Florida Chiropractic Association as its General Counsel and serves as one of their Lobbyists.  For the prior twenty-plus years, Ms. Driggers was in private practice in Orlando and Tallahassee, Florida, initially representing the interests of insurance companies in their defense of injury and insurance claims.  After a number of years and for the majority of her practice, she put her insurance knowledge to use in representing medical providers, injured patients, and homeowners in the denial of insurance benefits, litigating insurance claims in courts throughout Florida.

    Ms. Driggers is well known in the area of Personal Injury Protection insurance law (No-Fault or PIP insurance) and has authored numerous articles, testifies regularly in the Florida Legislature, and lectures for the Florida Chiropractic Association throughout the State of Florida.  She is a longstanding member of the National Association of Chiropractic Attorneys.

    In August 2019, Ms. Driggers became the first Non-Chiropractor and seventh woman since 1963, to be elected to the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners, the international testing agency for the chiropractic profession that develops, administers and scores standardized exams for the chiropractic profession.

    She received her B.A. in Psychology Magna Cum Laude from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida in 1990.  Ms. Driggers attended the Florida State University College of Law, receiving her J.D. in 1994.
