David Testone has been an educator and an insurance professional throughout his career.
David has earned a Bachelor’s Degree and a Master’s Degree from the University of Notre Dame. He has taught at every grade level from elementary school to college highlighted by teaching an eight week business communication course in China.
Approximately 20 years ago David left teaching and returned to the insurance industry. Utilizing his prior knowledge an experience from being a District Claims Representative for Mutual of Omaha in Detroit, David took a position as an insurance billing consultant at a law firm in New York. It was here David was introduced to the U.S. Department of Labor’s Federal Workers’ Compensation billing procedures and protocol.
David is now an independent biller specializing in U.S. Department of Labor Federal Workers’ Compensation billing for chiropractors. His first client was a chiropractor in Staten Island, New York. David was able to resolve the chiropractor’s previous issues with the U.S. Department of Labor. Since that initial resolution of U.S. Department of Labor billing, David has spoken at several District meetings of chiropractors in the New York metropolitan area and has had an article about U.S. Department of Labor billing published in the New York State Chiropractic Association’s newsletter,”On the Agenda”.
This comprehensive 2-hour lecture combines the critical elements of navigating federal workers’ compensation with actionable strategies for understanding the cost-effectiveness of chiropractic care. Attendees will gain a clear understanding of the history, regulatory differences, and documentation standards required for federal claims, including billing codes and certification processes for Department of Labor (DOL) compliance.
