    Course Description

Many are familiar with concussion diagnosis when sports are involved. But few think of concussions when witnessing falls on the park, in the airport, at the grocery store, or at home. As chiropractors ARE seeing AND TREATING concussed patients, do we know the ethical boundaries in place when witnessing, diagnosing, treating these injuries? Micky Collins published this article in 2016 that looked at concussion approaches from a multidisciplinary perspective in which he referenced his 6 subtypes of concussion: 1.Migraine (+ Autonomic and Sleep), 2. Affective (Mood), 3. Cognitive, 4. Cervical, 5. Oculomotor/Vision, 6. Vestibular Attendees will learn what a concussed individual goes through from the time they get injured until they are diagnosed. As well, all chiropractors will be reminded of how each discipline looks at and has the authority to treat concussion through their scope.

    Learning Objectives

    • Identify concussion in one of the six subtypes

    • Differentiate your scope of practice when in the office, in public area, in Athletic Team of High School or College Programs

    • Demonstrate one diagnostic test that can be used to quickly identify a concussed individual

    Course Description

Dysautonomia or autonomic dysfunction is a condition in which the autonomic nervous system (ANS) does not work properly. This may affect the functioning of the heart, bladder, intestines, sweat glands, pupils, and blood vessels. The diagnosis is achieved through functional testing of the ANS, focusing on the affected organ system. Investigations may be performed to identify underlying disease processes that may have led to the development of symptoms or autonomic neuropathy.

As innovative physicians, Chiropractors continue to integrate approaches into their delivery which allow and enhance the body and brain’s ability to heal, recover, and perform. As we consider the brain-based view of our chiropractic healthcare model, we look at low-tech and high-tech applications that can upgrade a physician’s outcomes and quantify the biomarkers pre/post treatments.

“A recent study finds that 67% of individuals with Long COVID are developing dysautonomia. That’s an estimated 38 million Americans with Long COVID dysautonomia, and millions more around the world,” says Lauren Stiles, President of Dysautonomia International and Research Assistant Professor of Neurology at Stony Brook University.”

    Learning Objectives

    • Use interactive approaches to engage the attendees and provides evidence based examination methods that can be immediately implemented to improve outcomes with patients

    • Understand neurotechnology and its application in the contemporary Chiropractic practice that deals with the increasing presentation of dysautonomia

    • Experience technology which improve patient compliance and adherence to treatment plans

    Course Description

Every chiropractor is treating athletes from pee-wee to high school to the professionals, and many high school teams are taking a play from “The Pro’s” and beginning to include chiropractors as part of the on-site medical staff. As the popularity of the team chiropractor grows, we all need to be prepared to handle both the treatment and the documentation appropriately. When you are with an athlete on the field, at practice or in the training room, efficiency is key. This course will be held in an interview fashion with Chiropractors from Pro Baseball teams & Pro Hockey teams. These interviews will outline the differences of documentation when treating athletes in your office vs. in the training room, when to refer to other professionals on the sports medicine team, as well as how you get paid and when/where to send the bills. The Sports Medicine Licensure Clarity Act of 2018 allows an athlete or a team to travel and treat in other states, but how you document the coordination of care during travel might depend on the type of team or athlete you are traveling with. Whether you are considering being a chiropractor for a local or professional team, knowing the details of this class will aid your communication with the community that you treat!

    Learning Objectives

    • Identify when to treat/document/record your patient-athlete encounter as well as what CPT codes are appropriate

    • Recognize when to document the coordination of care when referring to other professionals

    • Differentiate the treatment protocols between athletes in the office vs. training room

    Course Description

Women in the US make approximately 80% of the health care decisions for their families, yet often go without health care coverage themselves. Simultaneously many chiropractors are uncomfortable adjusting female concerns outside of headaches, low back or extremity pain. With females having such a large influence on healthcare choices for their families, we need to make sure chiropractors are comfortable in discussing, diagnosing, and adjusting issues related to only females.

This lecture is designed to provide new and innovative techniques to handle thoracic pain in females, pelvic constipation, PMS, and pelvic disorder. Having top-of-mind access to different ways of treatments will help avoid risk and provide confidence in the best way to naturally heal. During our 2 hours together, we will break up into 3 groups and provide hands-on demonstration and training.

Research around chronic infection and the HPA axis will be presented. Treatment protocols to tackle even difficult cases of these types of conditions will be shared. Case studies on patients seen in practice will demonstrate the success in treating individuals with chronic HPA disfunction both with infection or at risk for infection.

    Course Description

“All disease begins in the gut” – The Famous Quote attributed to the Ancient Greek physician Hippocrates, considered one of the most outstanding figures in the history of medicine. These words, spoken over 2,500 years ago, are one of the most thorough observations of human health that has stood the test of time.

Through years of research, we have confirmed that your gut bacteria and integrity of the gut lining strongly affect your health1. Numerous studies have stated that undesirable bacterial products (Endotoxins) can leak through the gut’s lining and enter your bloodstream (LEAKY GUT)2, causing your Immune system to attack and result in Chronic Inflammation3. While Acute Inflammation is necessary (redness, warmth, swelling and pain in result to injury), Chronic Inflammation is linked to serious health conditions that raise morbidity4, such as Heart Disease, Diabetes, Arthritis, Bowel Diseases and even Cancer.

In this lecture, Prof. Dr. Tai will provide insight to the formation and foundation of the Human Gut Microbiome from birth – its effect on the Gut-Brain Axis, Mood, Overall Well-Being and the startling detriment of Antibiotic Overuse. Join Dr. Tai as he reveals the truth behind Brain, Metabolic and Immune Health and provides All-Natural, Scientifically Backed, Plant-Based protocols for comprehensive support of the Gut & Microbiome, Brain, Immune System, Adrenals and Thyroid while reducing Life- Threatening Inflammation.
