Course Description
This session is designed for chiropractors working with athletic and active populations at community or public events. The content will focus on rehabilitation of lower extremity injuries, offering clinical insight into biomechanics, functional rehabilitation, and programs designed to prevent injury in athletes. Attendees will leave with a field-ready skillset to support injury prevention and management while maintaining high standards of clinical care and documentation.
Attendees will learn about the court decisions that impact how chiropractors bill for and use manual therapy and shockwave therapy and the red flags to watch out for. Attendees will also learn the legal requirements for serving as an expert witness and what lawyers want out of deposition testimony to fulfill their legal obligations in their cases.

- Apply evidence-based management and rehabilitation strategies for lower extremity injuries.
- Discuss sport-specific mechanisms and RTP decisions for hip injuries.
- Prepare for CCSP® exam items related to rehabilitation of the lower extremity including key tasks and knowledge domains as defined in the ACBSP Job Task Analysis.
