Course Description
This course introduces chiropractic physicians to a modern brain-body framework for understanding mental health through neuroscience, functional neurology, chiropractic medicine, neurotechnology, lifestyle physiology, and rehabilitative care. Attendees will explore how nervous system regulation, sensory integration, autonomic balance, metabolism, sleep, movement, and mindset influence mental health outcomes and patient resilience. Practical clinical applications and emerging technologies will be discussed within ethical, collaborative healthcare models.
Learning Objectives
- Describe the relationship between nervous system regulation, neuroplasticity, and mental health outcomes.
- Explain functional neurology principles related to anxiety, OCD, ADHD, stress, dizziness, sleep dysfunction, and cognitive fatigue.
- Discuss the role of spinal biomechanics, vestibular input, proprioception, and sensory integration in brain regulation.
- Identify indicators of autonomic nervous system dysregulation and stress physiology.
- Recognize the influence of sleep, metabolism, inflammation, and lifestyle factors on brain health.
- Describe emerging neurotechnology applications including neurofeedback, eye-tracking, vestibular rehabilitation technologies, balance assessment systems, and HRV monitoring.
- Discuss mindset coaching, patient communication, and collaborative care strategies that support patient engagement and resilience.
