Course Description
Demonstration of spinal manipulation of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine and pelvis will be integrated into this program as will future research areas of study.
Cox® Technic Flexion Distraction and Decompression (CTFDD) is chiropractic, hands-on spinal manipulation. Years of clinical experience and research documentation fostered by Dr. James M. Cox, developer of the technique, make it one of the most respected approaches to relieving and managing spine pain non-surgically.
Cox® Technic is known for its research-documented treatment of disc herniation and stenosis. Its evidence-based protocols are also appropriate for treating sprain/strain, facet syndrome, spondylolisthesis, sciatica, radiculopathy, degenerative scoliosis, failed back surgery/post-surgical continued pain, and a host of other spinal conditions affecting the lumbar, cervical, thoracic spine and related areas.
Learning Objectives
- Gather a collection of research papers related to the research- and evidence-based foundation of The Cox® Technic System of Spinal Pain Management
- Learn about the current/underway research studies: ultrasound, lumbar spinal stenosis, FBSS, etc.
- Witness case studies from clinical practice to which published research translated into clinical care
- Understand more fully the decision-making process in treating spine pain patients with CTFDD: protocol I, protocol II, protocol III
- Translate CTFDD principles to the care of cervical and lumbar spine conditions as well thoracic spine and knee pain
