Vagus Nerve-Nitric Oxide Balance to Regulate Inflammation, Cognition and Optimal Health

In this session, Dr. Habib will review the pathway of the Vagus nerve, and the mechanisms by which Acetylcholine release to regulate optimal function of cellular processes. We will dig into the regulatory effects of Nitric Oxide in the body and the activation of Nitric Oxide Synthase on the inflammatory and regulatory processes. Lastly, we will connect the function of Vagus nerve to the release of Nitric Oxide and discuss the best ways to ensure that this important functional balance is reached through diet, lifestyle, and therapeutic modalities.
