    Dr. Jeff Lewin is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician and a graduate of New York Chiropractic College.  He established his practice in Coral Springs, Florida in 1990 and soon after created one of the first multidisciplinary practices in the country combining chiropractic with medical physicians and physical therapists all under one roof.  This type of coordinated care combined the best of all disciplines for the betterment of his patients and became the model for hundreds of similar practices around the United States.

    Course Description

    Sudden cardiac arrest remains a leading cause of death in young athletes, often revealing heart conditions missed in traditional sports physicals. Florida’s new 2024 ECG requirement was enacted in response to these preventable tragedies, emphasizing early detection and safer athletic participation. The great news is chiropractors are still included as physicians to provide sports physicals, even with these new requirements. 

    This course will help chiropractors understand the purpose behind the law, the essentials of compliance, and the practical steps for integrating sports physicals and ECGs into daily practice.     Advanced therapeutic technologies such as extracorporeal shockwave therapy, spinal decompression therapy, and therapeutic laser are becoming increasingly common in chiropractic practice. This course will review how chiropractors can properly document the use of these modalities to meet clinical, regulatory, and payer expectations.     Jeff Solomon DC, DCSI

    A chiropractic physician since 1982, he holds a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life Chiropractic College and a Diplomate in Sports Injuries from New York Chiropractic College. He is the President of Mobile Chiropractic Inc.

    While serving the film industry since 1987, he developed the first state-of-the-art chiropractic office on wheels and provides care for patients at corporate and industrial sites throughout Miami-Dade County.

    For 40 years, he has been a frequent lecturer on health, wellness, and safety issues throughout the state and local community, and he has served as Vice Chair of the Miami-Dade Sports Commission.

    Dr. Jeff is the past president of the Florida Chiropractic Association and the American Chiropractic Association Sports Council. His sports medicine career has taken him to some of the world’s most prestigious sporting events, including the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino, Italy, where he served as an official Team USA Medical Staff Chiropractor.
