    Daniel Severino MA, RT(R)(MR)

    Daniel Severino is an accomplished imaging executive and MRI specialist with nearly 20 years of progressive experience leading diagnostic imaging operations, advancing clinical research, and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across hospital, academic, pediatric, and outpatient settings.
    As Director of Imaging at Tesla MRI, Daniel provides strategic and operational leadership for imaging services, including departmental budgeting, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, equipment planning, staff development, workflow optimization, and performance improvement. Daniel works closely with physicians, technologists, vendors, and organizational leaders to support safe, efficient, and clinically excellent imaging services.
    Daniel has held leadership roles at Golisano Children’s Hospital and HealthPark, Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, Miami Children’s Hospital, Baptist Health Systems, the University of Miami, Palmetto Hospital, and South Miami Imaging. This broad experience includes pediatric MRI, cardiac MRI, advanced clinical research, protocol development, contrast administration, MRI safety, and technologist education.

    This course will provide attendees with a primer on what chiropractors need to know about MRI.  Particularly, the fundamentals and clinical relevance, the types of MRI equipment available, understanding anatomical planes, MRI slices, image quality, visualization of injury, MRI sequences, and advanced brain imaging.  The course will include images of actual patients (anonymized for privacy) showing exactly why MRI is important for chiropractors.

    Learning Objectives

    1. Identify common clinical indications and reasons for ordering an MRI examination.
    2. Interpret basic diagnostic findings demonstrated in MRI images and recognize their clinical significance.
    3. Apply knowledge of MRI indications and findings to better advocate for appropriate diagnostic evaluation and patient care.
